Microbiological Project Using the Disc Diffusion Method for Lower Secondary School ABSTRACT This thesis deals with project-based education and his involvement in the functional structure of the czech educational theory and practice. It refers to the project as an innovative teaching process, which is qualitatively able to shield asked RVP requirements and the implementation of which contributes to the development of educational goals and core competencies. This thesis contains both theoretical aspects are developed through the study of literature and other sources in order to summarize the current state of knowledge of the subject, so practical. Theoretical bases emphasize not only on the characteristics of project-based education as such, but also on the appropriate application of educational strategies in the learning process. Specifically mentioned are possibilities of project-based teaching in the teaching of natural history, biology and ecology. The theoretical background followed by the practical part, which shifts the theory of project learning into practice. There is particular designed a project called "Strength of antibiotics", which is then implemented and reflected. This diploma work Addicted Substances - project for the lower secondary school is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is giving information about addicted drugs and method of teaching by form of projects, proposing and realization of project with this topic, which could be used for other teachers. Theoretical part is intent on summary of question of addicted substances, where the terms addicted substances, abuse of addicted drugs - its symptoms or risks, causes of drugs addiction and some terms, what are connected with this question (e.g. habit, tolerance, addiction, syndrome of abstinence), are clarified. In this work, there are also mentioned division of these substances in more points of views, character of chosen addicted substances, where is described basic division according to availability - legal and illegal drugs. Representatives or categories of addicted substances, their characteristic and effects on human organism, are mentioned within this dividing. Utilization of Cannabis Sativa in Teaching Chemistry

The diploma thesis deals with Cannabis sativa. The aim is to focus on possible utilization of Cannabis sativa in teaching chemistry. The theoretical part describes the botany of cannabis, overviews phytocannabinoids, substances contained in cannabis, and it also includes wide use of cannabis in agriculture and industry. The practical part deals with the selection and arrangement of a possible curriculum about chromatography as the most affordable technique for analysis of cannabis at school, including the formulation of school experiment methodology using the thin-layer chromatography of Cannabis sativa extract to demonstrate the presence of phytocannabinoids. The practical part also includes the scheme of an educational project on cannabis and describes the latest techniques, as well as the methodology of work with them, which are suitable for analysis of phytocannabinoids.

Biodegradable Waste: School Project for Lower Secondary School

The proper way to manage biological waste has only recently become a topic of discussion and the public still does not have enough information about it and does not have a comprehensive opinion. In order for bio-waste to be properly managed, knowledge of this topic and positive attitude towards it is necessary, in class this could be achieved by activating pupils through project based education. Teaching in projects is a great way to understand the issue, which can influence pupils' attitudes towards bio-waste management. The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a project on the topic of biodegradable waste, and then to find out how the knowledge and opinions of students about bio-waste have changed. The created project was verified at the lower secondary school, for which it is primarily intended. A total of 54 6th-year pupils was involved in this project. They were given a pretest before the start of the project, finding out the initial knowledge about bio-waste and their opinion on the classification of bio-waste. After the project, the pupils completed a posttest and by comparing the individual answers, it was determined whether and how the knowledge of the tested pupils and their attitude towards the topic changed. School project focused on sexually transmitted diseases ABSTRACT This Thesis forms two segments: theoretically oriented and practically oriented. Theoretical background doesn't only deal with development of project-based learning from history to the present but characteristics of project-based learning as such. There is an emphasis on positives at work but also cons that this innovative method brings, analysis of different types of project, important role of a student and a teacher and planning of the project itself. Second segment of theoretical part forms basic information about bacterial and viral diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea, chancroid, syphilis, hepatitis B, genital herpes, AIDS, genital warts and cervical cancer). Practical part is dedicated to application of theory of project-based learning itself into practice. The result is a formation of a particular project called Sexually transmitted diseases, which is then completed on higher level of high school. The theoretical part deals with the development of children's drawing as a basic understanding of the developmental stages of the child to better determine the workflow in creating a curriculum or project connecting art education and other subjects. It also deals with the embedding of art education in the framework educational program and cross-sectional topics. Various art exercises are proposed for presented topics. The didactic part is devoted to organizational forms of teaching and the definition of the concept of interdisciplinary teaching. In the practical part, two authorial and one adopted project are then analyzed - art education is used in those projects as a connecting element of teaching. In the Kafkomix project, art education is connected with the Czech language, specifically with work The Transformation by Franz Kafka. In the project The Road to Freedom, students are introduced to the history of communism in our country and to the events related to the Velvet Revolution through visual documentation. Awarenes of high school students about selected aspects of the influence of physical activities in pregnancy and maternity

The thesis focuses on the topic of awareness of the secondary vocational school female students about suitable physical activities before and during the pregnancy and maternity period. The thesis is composed of theoretical and practical research part. The aim is to determine the level of the students' knowledge and general awareness of the possible physical activities during pregnancy and postpartum, to map their readiness for pregnancy and motherhood, and to increase their interest in a overall physical education. The theoretical part examines the physical activities in general, recommended exercises in pregnancy and postpartum. It describes all pregnancy stages, physiological changes of women during pregnancy and nursing, including appropriate and inappropriate workouts for all the stages. Last but not least,as the subject matter is not pregnant women but girls in a stormy hormonal development, it is necessary to mention the psychological aspects of adolescent girls. The research part is carried out by a school project in which the author discovers the level of students' knowledge about the given subject matter, applies the physical activities in practice and supplements it with explanation.
